SUMMARY:
The position of Area Vice President, Sales is responsible for the continuous interaction with functionally related departments, distribution network, customers, carriers, and WishBone Medical management. Must possess a high degree of interpersonal relationship skills to effectively meet customer requirements. Must attend training sessions and available seminars, as presented, to stay current on new products and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (includes the following but other duties may be assigned)
- Define and hire the optimal sales force structure for your region
- Put in place infrastructure and systems to support the success of the sales function
- Develop strategic sales messaging across portfolio and communicate to business partners
- Direct and enable proper execution of the sales plan towards goal achievement
- Facilitate account management and manage customer relations with sales teams
- Promote a positive work environment and positivity within the sales team
- Define sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify improvements, when needed
- Support sales team in all aspects of their efforts toward effective customer relations and sales
- Address and deal effectively with any conflicting issues
- Provide ongoing training opportunities for the sales team
- Ensure sales teams are compliant with corporate SOPs and policies
- Prioritize and manage workflow within corporate guidelines
- Work well with all colleagues and partners, both internal and external
- Identify new business opportunities and develop strategic plans around same
- Commit to outstanding relationships with all customers, internal and external
- Communicate carefully and strategically
- Be accountable in meeting deadlines and driving compliance throughout sales teams
- Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners and to develop key relationships
- Define and oversee compensation and incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve their sales targets
- Define and coordinate sales training programs that support company sales objectives
- Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting
- Monitor customer, market, and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team and other company functions
- Work closely with the Marketing to establish successful support, channel, and partner programs
- Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- Proficient in creative problem-solving and communication
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Self-motivated, multi-tasker, with desired understanding of the position
