Graphic Designer

SUMMARY: The Graphic Designer supports marketing initiatives to increase brand awareness globally, reach target audiences and grow WishBone Medical's customer base. The designer captures the heart and soul behind the WishBone mission with bold, imaginative design and collaborates with marketing to create engaging, cohesive deliverables across print and web. This role requires focused multi-tasking, attention to detail, and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities while ensuring on-time delivery of all creative content.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Help our brand break through the noise with creative, engaging marketing and sales pieces.
• Educate clinical users of WishBone Medical's latest product offerings and showcase advantages of our unique, anatomically appropriate solutions to clinical users, medical facilities, patient families, shareholders, etc.
• Work with marketing teammates to conceptualize and design new, strategic marketing pieces to best equip and mobilize our sales force.
• Design and maintain print collateral such as brochures, surgical technique guides, signage, mailings, slicks, merchandise, graphics for packaging, etc., while coordinating with vendors to facilitate timely production.
• Create engaging content for web, including social media, paid ads and company website(s); design and create eblasts using MailChimp or similar.
• Develop original design assets such as illustrations, logos, etc.
• Work with product development to maintain revisions for product-specific deliverables as product systems evolve (i.e., updates to surgical techniques, brochures and webpages to accurately reflect latest offerings).
• Scope and create on-brand templates and design elements for WishBone Medical's corporate media kit.
• Assist to design captivating displays for upcoming conferences and events.
• Assist in researching clinical topics and staying current with industry news.
• Research and investigate emerging communications technologies & trends to inspire future projects.
• Be an innovative, creative and resourceful thinker who is continually brainstorming new ways to push the brand forward and reach target audiences.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Exceptionally high proficiency in creative problem solving
• Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, etc.
• Flexibility to seamlessly adjust to changing projects and priorities while still meeting deadlines
• Excellent organizational skills to work independently and manage projects with many moving parts
• Solid verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working and collaborating with executives and translating design concepts into laymen's terms effectively

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• BA/BS degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications or related
• 2+ years of relevant design experience and a strong portfolio of work which demonstrates problem solving skills and attention to detail in a variety of mediums

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

• Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, etc.
• Flexibility to seamlessly adjust to changing projects and priorities while still meeting deadlines
• Excellent organizational skills to work independently and manage projects with many moving parts
• Solid verbal and written communication skills
• Understanding of the orthopedic industry and the WishBone mission
• A critical eye to thoroughly proof one's own work
• Self-motivation and teamwork orientation

PREFERRED:

• Familiarity with WordPress and/or e-commerce

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Teammate will normally work in an office environment but may occasionally be subject to noise levels from machines in a manufacturing environment.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Up to 5% long distance travel (i.e., by plane).
