Quality Technician
POSITION SUMMARY
The position is responsible for completing various tasks to maintain the Quality Management System. These tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Creating DCOs and releasing new or revised quality documents
- Performing cpk analysis on inspection data
- Reviewing and filing gauge calibration certs
- Assisting with validation activities like inspection, testing, etc.
- Performing Lot Releases
- Assisting with additional tasks that might be required from other departments (as time allows)
Additionally, this position is required to execute and maintain training for all Red Star employees for all required Red Star quality documents and OSHA training. This position supports the Quality Management System and required training. Red Star Contract Manufacturing is currently hiring for second and third shift positions in Quality.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Complete supporting Quality tasks assigned by Quality Director, such as:
- Creating DCOs and releasing new or revised quality documents
- Performing cpk analysis on inspection data
- Reviewing and filing gauge calibration certs
- Performing Lot Releases
- Maintain Training Log for all Red Star employees
- Execute training for all required Red Star quality documents and OSHA training
- Verify the effectiveness of executed training with input from department supervisors
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS/COMPETENCIES
- Must be a high school graduate or GED equivalent
- Must have good command of the English language, oral and written
- 1-2 years quality experience preferred
- Must have attention to detail
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Training & Experience:
- Some knowledge and experience in the development, implementation, and maintenance of an ISO 13485 compliant QMS preferred
- Knowledge with Quality Work Instructions, Quality Operating Procedures, Forms preferred
- Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point in addition to Mini-Tab
- Knowledge of and experience using hand-held measuring devices, including micrometers and calipers preferred.
